The Presbyterian Church is a Christian denomination. Denominations are different types, or “brands” of churches, each usually consisting of many congregations spread over the state, nation or world. There are literary hundreds of different Christian denominations. Other common Christian denominations include the Lutheran Church, the Uniting Church, and the Baptist Church. First and foremost, Presbyterians are Christian. The various denominations exist because of differences of belief and practice that are less important than the fundamental beliefs that make us all Christian.
The basic message of Christianity is called “The Gospel”. It is vital that everyone has the opportunity to hear the gospel. We would encourage anyone who is not sure what the Gospel is to view "Two Ways to Live", an online five-minute presentation of the Gospel. If you have any questions about the Gospel, would like to know more, or have someone from our church visit you, please contact us. We would love to take you through a 6-session course called Christianity Explained - at the dates and times that suit you. |
